Director of School Operations

Key Responsibilities in School Operations Management
- Oversee daily school operations including facilities management, food services, and transportation to ensure that all services meet educational standards.
- Collaborate with school leaders to ensure compliance with district, state, and federal regulations and policies.
- Lead the development and implementation of operational strategies to support the school's educational goals and objectives.
- Manage budget allocations efficiently, ensuring resources are allocated to support critical operational needs and compliance mandates.
- Develop and maintain vendor relationships to ensure high-quality services and supplies at competitive prices.
- Implement and manage safety and emergency preparedness plans to protect students, staff, and property.
- Facilitate effective communication between administration, faculty, and external stakeholders regarding operational matters.
- Conduct regular assessments of school operations to identify areas for improvement and implement changes accordingly.
- Lead and develop operations team members, fostering professional growth and ensuring high performance.
Qualifications for the Director of School Operations Role
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Education Management or a closely related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in school operations management, preferably in a charter school setting.
- Comprehensive understanding of operational systems, financial acumen, and budget management.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with school leaders, staff, students, and external partners.
- Experience with technology and information systems to enhance school operations and communication.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities with a focus on meeting rigorous deadlines.
- Ability to adapt and respond effectively to a variety of changing needs within a school environment.
