Talent Vision, a leading Staffing and Consulting firm, is partnering with a reputable Catholic school in River Forest, IL, to fill the position of High School English Teacher.
Core Responsibilities of the English Teacher
- Deliver engaging and interactive lessons that align with the school's Catholic values and academic standards.
- Cultivate a classroom environment that encourages respectful dialogue and critical thinking among students.
- Utilize a variety of teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and foster student engagement.
- Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, projects, and exams, providing constructive feedback.
- Integrate technology and innovative teaching tools to enhance learning and curriculum delivery.
- Maintain open communication with parents/guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.
- Contribute to curriculum development to ensure a comprehensive and enriching English program.
- Participate in faculty meetings and collaborate with colleagues to promote an aligned educational approach.
- Engage in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational methodologies and trends.
- Support and participate in school-related events and activities that enhance student learning experiences.
Qualifications for the High School English Teaching Role
- Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field; a master's degree is preferred.
- State teaching certification in English or a related subject area is required.
- Experience teaching at the high school level, preferably in an English-focused setting.
- Strong understanding of high school English curriculum standards and instructional methods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with students, parents, and staff.
- Proficiency in using educational technology to support teaching and learning activities.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students through effective and creative teaching practices.
- Commitment to personal and professional growth through continuous learning and collaboration.
- Experience in integrating Catholic values into curriculum and classroom activities is a plus.
